Washed Low EC Coco Peat 5 kg Block

Hydroponics, greenhouse vegetables, nurseries
Lowest EC · EC < 0.5 mS/cm
Washed, then calcium-buffered — EC below 0.5 mS/cm for precision hydroponics and salt-sensitive crops.

Vimsen Exim's buffered coco peat 5 kg block is our lowest-EC grade. The pith is first washed with fresh water, then treated with a calcium nitrate solution. Buffering replaces the sodium and potassium naturally held on the coir's exchange sites with calcium, so the substrate doesn't pull calcium and magnesium out of your nutrient solution after planting. The result is a stable, low-salt root zone with EC below 0.5 mS/cm.
Buffered coco peat is produced to order. Before you book, we share the batch's EC, pH, moisture and sand values so you can approve the exact material that will be pressed into your blocks.
Every batch of this grade is tested for EC, pH, moisture and sand before pressing. You receive the batch values with your quotation and the full test report with your shipping documents.

FAQ
High EC coco peat is natural and unwashed, so it keeps the salts the husk was harvested with. Washed coco peat is rinsed with fresh water to bring EC down to about 0.5 – 0.7 mS/cm. Buffered coco peat is washed and then treated with a calcium nitrate solution, which replaces sodium and potassium on the fibre with calcium so the medium doesn't lock up calcium and magnesium from your nutrient solution; it targets EC below 0.5 mS/cm.
Hydroponic growers and anyone growing salt- or calcium-sensitive crops such as strawberries, tomatoes in substrate, and seedlings. If you start feeding immediately after planting, buffered coco peat avoids early calcium and magnesium deficiencies.
Yes. Buffered grade is made to order and we share the batch test values — and samples on request — before the container is booked.
About 5,200 blocks (≈ 26 MT) when floor-loaded in bulk, or about 4,620 blocks (≈ 23 MT) with palletised bundle packing. We confirm the exact count against your stuffing plan before booking.
