What's the difference between Low EC and High EC coco peat?

Low EC coco peat is washed with fresh water to leach out natural salts, bringing electrical conductivity below 0.5 mS/cm — the grade most hydroponics and nursery growers specify. High EC (natural, unwashed) retains those salts and suits buyers who blend it into soil mixes, use it for amendment, or manage EC themselves.

How many 5 KG blocks fit in a 40 ft container?

5,200 blocks on bulk floor loading (approximately 26 metric tons), or 4,620 blocks palletized in bundle packing (approximately 23 metric tons). We confirm the exact count against your target tonnage before booking.

What's your sand content and moisture specification?

Sand content is held under 2% through mechanical sieving before pressing. Moisture is dried down to a 10–15% level — low enough for stable storage and shipping, without being over-dried.

Can we get samples before placing a full order?

Yes. Share your target EC grade, quantity and destination through the contact form or WhatsApp, and we'll arrange samples along with current batch test results.

Do you export to South Korea?

Yes — South Korea is one of our target export markets, alongside other horticulture and hydroponics buyers worldwide.

What documentation comes with each shipment?

A commercial invoice, packing list and Certificate of Origin are prepared for every shipment, in line with our DGFT IEC registration (HYZPM5218N). A Certificate of Analysis for EC, pH, moisture and sand is available on request.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Our standard export unit is a full 40 ft container. If you're looking to trial a smaller quantity first, get in touch and we'll discuss what's workable.

What Incoterms and ports do you work with?

We typically ship FOB from Chennai or Tuticorin port, and can discuss CIF or other Incoterms depending on your requirements — tell us your preferred terms when you request a quote.

Can you produce a custom block size or private-label packaging?

How long does production and shipping take?

STEP 01

Raw Material

Mature coconut husks sourced directly from farmers and collection centres around Salem, Tamil Nadu.

QC checkpoint: Raw husks are visually graded on arrival; damaged husks are rejected.

STEP 02

Pith Extraction

The beater's outlet conveyor extracts the loosened pith, separating it from the coarser fibre.

QC checkpoint: Extracted pith is inspected for fibre contamination before screening.

STEP 03

Screening

Extracted pith passes through a screener that filters out sand, grit and oversized particles.

QC checkpoint: Sand content is sample-tested; anything over spec is re-screened.

Washing & Extra Washing

Pith for our Low EC grade is repeatedly washed with fresh water drawn from the Vashista Nadhi, the river running along our facility, flushing out natural salts.

QC checkpoint: EC is sample-tested through washing until it reads under 0.5 mS/cm.

STEP 05

Drying

Washed (and separately, unwashed High EC) pith is sun-dried in our open yard to a 10–15% moisture level.

QC checkpoint: Moisture is checked before pith moves to compression.

Compressing

Dried, tested pith is fed into our hydraulic compression line and pressed into dense 5 kg blocks (30 × 30 × 12–15 cm).

QC checkpoint: Block weight and dimensions are checked against tolerance.

Quality Check

Every batch is tested with a calibrated EC meter, plus pH and moisture, before it's cleared for packing.

QC checkpoint: EC, pH, moisture and sand results are logged against the batch number for traceability.

Palletising & Packing

Blocks are packed in bulk (loose floor loading) or palletized bundle packing and stuffed into the container.

QC checkpoint: Block count and pack integrity are spot-checked as the container is loaded.

STEP 09

Logistics & Shipping

Loaded containers move by road to the port and travel by sea to reach our buyers, with shipment documents prepared and shared as soon as the container is booked.
